  4. Anita Hogue says:

This is my first post. I love your textures.

  5. Bob Jensen says:

I don’t envy you having to pic a winner - there are so many beautiful images already posted.

  6. Bob Jensen says:

Then I guess I envy “us”. It will be difficult to choose … too many superb images.

  7. liesbeth says:

I had so much fun using your beautifull texture i came up with 3 different versions.. thank you for sharing..

  8. Anita Hogue says:

After looking at all the beautiful entries, I see where I should have put my name instead of the name/title of my image.

  9. Anita Hogue says:

I saw where some entered more than once. Is it a once only entry or can you enter more than one photo?

    • Just one entry per person. I’m looking into the service to try to find a way to automatically limit entries. It’s going to be hard for me to try to figure out who’s posted more than once - but I’ll try to notify people to take out multiple entries. Thanks!

  10. Ruth West says:

  14. Clive Litchfield says:

I’m new to this site and I too am unable to locate a link to vote, the only links I can find are to the entries themselves. Frustrating.

  15. A.K.../Annie says:

    Hi Leslie
I voted earlier today without a problem…..but now the link to vote isn’t visible…underneath each photo is the votes total and nothing else, so perhaps there is a glitch somewhere!

  16. Judy says:

I just see the vote, the “link” is to where the pic is published on the web originally. Am I missing something here?

  17. Thanks Leslie, I thought that it may have a button on each picture, I tried everything, surch everywere for severas times along the day but it never appears.
Thank for your kindness.I’m going to try once more.
    Have a wonderful evening

  18. Clive Litchfield says:

I’m sorry but I’m still unable to vote - please check the settings as I’m very interested in photography but unlikely to progress with this site if it doesn’t work properly. Please, please, please check the settings.

  19. Jan Anderson says:

I’m getting emails from my friends saying that they’re trying to vote for my photo, but the site won’t let them vote. I don’t see any stars under the photos…and when I click on my image, I get a message saying my browser cannot find the server.

I see that several other photos have received lots of votes. Why is it that some entries allow voting but others do not?

  20. Anita Hogue says:

I just voted and after you vote you will see
no star to vote and you will see how many votes people have. So you can only vote one time which is great. Looks like a few people have told lots of their friends to vote for them.

    • Anita Hogue says:

I guess you can leave me out on entering a contest because I don’t ask my friends and family to vote for me. I thought it was the entry votes only. I will just buy some of your beautiful textures. I do love them. Anita

    • Tammy says:

Anita, I don’t like vote collecting either and this is the message along with the link to this site I posted for my friends and family. My facebook messages says: Please go here and vote for my submission if you truly like it. I do NOT believe in vote collecting even though they tell you to get your friends and family to vote for you. At least vote for the image you feel is the best!!! Mine image has the American Flag and Child which is #16.

  21. Hi All,

This is the second time I’ve used this service and the first time things went great. This time though, I’m getting a lot of comments from unhappy people. I’m hearing that:
    1. Some people aren’t seeing a way to vote. I’m not sure if that’s because they’ve already voted and then they don’t see it or if there is a problem. I need to do some checking. Please let me know if you don’t see a star with the words vote under each photo.
    2. Some people don’t like that anyone can vote. Let me check to see if I can change the settings for future challenges. I agree that in some ways it could be unfair - but also, most contests are this way. What if everyone who submits votes for themselves? We wouldn’t have much of a contest. Let’s figure this out together.
Your feedback is valuable to me. I try things and by hearing what’s working and what’s not working I can make changes. This seemed like a great service and I know other people use it as well, so either I’ll need to adjust the settings or decide it doesn’t work for this site.

  22. Also, I’ve noticed this script does some weird things to this post. All my sidebar things are down below the post. Please be patient, seems there is always something to figure out. ;-)

  23. Leslie, hope you have a good day.
Sorry but there isn’t a star under any photo for the second day.
Can you please see it with the server you are using?
    Best regards.

I have a different problem :) I already voted twice and this morning I still see all the stars and the message than I can cast 1 vote :) Someone is getting a lot of my votes ;-)

  26. lyne nagele says:

Hello! Happy Saturday. My views on the contest were fine; I had totals under each picture. Now all of that has disappeared.

This is hard work for you and I’m sure I speak for many… Thank you!!!

    Lyne

  27. OK everyone. I have changed this challenge to have random winners. Read my most recent post to get details.

  28. lyne nagele says:

Ok.. flexibility! I love it. What is a random vote? Thanks!

    Lyne

  29. Judy says:

Hi Leslie…. I have asked friends to vote but am hearing from them that they they don’t see any way to do that.

I have to say that it doesn’t really seem a fair way to judge the entries…perhaps you should just choose the winner yourself, or maybe there is a ‘random selection’ way of deciding - I’m sure I’ve seen that with other competitions.

Anyway…I’m afraid this just doesn’t seem to be working.

  30. Leslie
sorry to reapeat myself. For the second day I’m enable to vote and now even the votes of each photo disapeared.
I read all the comments you left and the last were you say «I have changed this challenge to have random winners. Read my most recent post to get details.» but I don’t think that voteing is forbidden and the existing vote, why did they disapeared?
I’ll try to found the post you refer but anyaway I live these questions maybe they will be useful.
    Good evening

  31. Hi Leslie
I read your last post and slept on it, but still I’ve something to say.
    a) I understand that it was beeing tiring for you all these posts and questions we were posting;
b)Anyway I disagree your solution and you know why?

Because when you started the game you created the rools and EVERYBODY that decided to enter knew all the six rools and the fact that they were playing means ONE thing: AGREEMENT!

I understand you try to resolve the best way but I don’t believe you got it. Sorry to bouther you once more but I felt I need to say this.

HERE they are since the begining.

«1.Enter your image by Thursday, August 18th.
    2.One Entry per person
3.Voting for favorites starts Friday, August 19th.
    4.Voting ends Tuesday, August 23rd
5.Anyone can vote! Tell your friends and family
6.Note: you can only win the 1st place prize once every 6 months»

    ………………….CLEAR AS WATER.

Best sunday for you and familly.

    • I understand that this is not ideal to switch the rules in the middle of the game, but given the problems people were having voting - some people not able to vote and other people saying they voted twice, it seemed inevitable that had I let the voting process continue I would have had many more complaints by people saying it wasn’t a fair contest and I agree. By the way, this is a feature I pay for. I don’t know why there were so many problems in this challenge, but they were nothing I anticipated or can control.

I can’t please everyone, but I think that the solution I came up with was the fairest overall.

To me, the most important thing is sharing our images and having a little fun with a giveaway. I hope I can continue this as a monthly feature — but if it ends up being too much of a hassle I may end it.

  32. Sorry, I wanted also say that what you were learning now should be very well used in nexts games, not in this one
    Best regards
