When you are exploring different textures and layer masks, you may find it more convenient to see the Photoshop layer panel thumbnails larger.
This is the default size of the thumbnails:
To change the size, click on the layer panel flyout menu.
Choose Panel Options. The following panel appears. Select a larger thumbnail.
The new panel thumbnails will be easier to view, showing in greater detail your textures and layer masks.
Note: This can slow down Photoshop performance, so if you are having issues with Photoshop being sluggish, change the thumbnails to a smaller size can help (although it probably wouldn’t be the only issue).
