1. There is a grungy overlay made from a glass negative.
I’ve used the overlay in the following image. I used a brown color for the edge and then painted a bit of color over it.
I’ve also used the Esprit texture from the Artiste Collection.
2. A “spot” overlay of a grungy vintage French text page.
I’ve used it in this image. Look in the sky. You’ll want to play with the opacity and use a layer mask if needed.
This also uses an Edge Overlay from the Glorious Grunge Collection.
3. A Grungy Vintage French Letter Overlay.
Here the grungy letter is shown with the grungy edge overlay above and the Archive 2 texture from the Glorious Grunge Collection.
4. Another Grunge Vintage French Letter.
Shown on the texture Heirloom 1 from the from the Glorious Grunge Collection

Not sure how to sure overlay files, at all. I downloaded a few of your free overlay images, which download as PNG files. Do I have to save them as JPGS in Photoshop first, to be able to use them with JPG photos ?
Hi Judy, definitely don’t save as a jpeg! This will flatten the file, which you don’t want. You can open the .png files in Photoshop. If you prefer you can save as Photoshop files, but it’s not necessary.
Thank you so much for your generous gifts to us all…I am looking forward to experimenting! 🙂
Grand merci pour les free ! les textures sont très bien faites, je reviendrais vers vous pour voir d’autres
bien cordialement
